I heard many people talking about action on their ukulele. What is it? And how do you know whether or not its too high or not? I just bought my KoAlana Ukulele from KoAloha Ukulele so this question came up. Some one please explain this to me. I am still a beginner since I been only learning the ukulele for a year now. :anyone:

Hey Alana,
The "action" is basically looked at as the ease at which you have to press down on the strings when you play. If the action is too "high" it will be hard to bar or press down on the frets to form your chords. If the action is too "low", you can end up with buzzing sounds when you strum. Luthiers or tech savy users adjust the nut or saddle of the ukulele to lower the strings to get as close to the frets without any buzzing.
