All I know is it that it is called Black/White ebony, The image I posted is one they built in the recent past so I have not yet seen my piece of wood yet. The top will be spruce and the binding will be ebony, here is the image of the back of the one I posted earlier

Great combination of woods with the spruce top. As Tom Petty said, "the waiting is the hardest part."

That is beautiful. Can't wait to see some videos of it!

Just got an update on the wood being used for the back and sides, very, very excited

I ordered the same wood in a tenor resonator. Mine will be started late April and completed late May.

I'm no luthier, but the sound hole looks too big to me. ;)

Of course, I'm kidding. Beautiful wood though!

That is going to be a stunning instrument. I love seeing the various stages of build. Congrats, I bet you are dying to get your hands on it!

Can't wait, just over a week away, until she arrives

I am so jealous, mine gets started late April with a May completion.
I am getting the same headstock plate with peghead tuners. Mine is not a lap steel.
I am getting an oil finish, yours ?
