I have the chance to Aquire a Tennessee Soprano-Ukulele Model KILAUEA nato wood for a seriously low amount of money but can't find any reviews (in english) online. Has anyone played, owned or had any experience with one of these. I think they must be a european manufacturer as I could only find spanish and italian sites. Just tried to attach image but probably didn't work as I am a technophobe.
Would love to hear from you as if they are no good then I can avoid my first dissapointment in ukeland.

Cheers

Ten years ago the Tennesse was an o.k. entry level uke for two reasons:

1. no competition in the entry level
2. proper made for its price tag

Today I would not recommend the KILAUEA because they switched manufacturers resulting in significant quality-loss. There is also a lot of competition in the entry level now: A makala product is a lot better deal IMHO.

cheers guys glad I asked, uas is a bad thing but if you are gonna have it you may aswell get something you are actually gonna play. Couldn't agree more about makala I have 2, my dolphin impressed me and then my mk-t really impressed me.
