Does anyone know how to do this?
My uncle a while back showed me how to back when I first picked up the ukulele (about a year ago) but I have sense forgotten what the progression is.
Can someone plz help?

Thanks

Just taking a S.W.A.G. at this I'd say you want the harmonized chord scale.

Take the C scale as an example. C D E F G A B (and back to C, of course). Using the harmonized chord scale you'd get:

Cmaj, Dm, Em, Fmaj, Gmaj, Am, and Bdim.

This is a great "quick start" if you're trying to write your own tunes. All these chords make a little family that'll sound nice together.

Then, depending on your melody, you can jazz 'em up a little bit by substituting other chords (7ths, 9ths, whatever). In fact, when I first learned this the guy who taught it to me suggested using a 7th for the V chord (Gmaj in the example).

Mark Nelson's book "Finger Style Solos for Ukulele" has instructions on how to do exactly what you are describing in the introduction.
