Just bought a nifty little oscar schmidt ou13 soprano ukulele and its really a killer instrument. Sound quality is good, but from what I've heard the strings that it comes with really arent that great. I took the liberty of ordering some black diamond soprano uke strings along with my purchase, but I notice on the pack where it lists the string gauges it has each string identified as if the uke were tuned to D. F sharp and what not, as opposed to the GCEA tuning I really like.
So would I be able to put those on and tune them to GCEA anyways without any sound problems? Wasn't really sure if they made different strings for different tuning styles or what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome Rainbowjoe, I'd give them a try but the tension may be a bit low when tuned to gcea. I'd really recommend you try some Aquila Nylgut strings on it, they usually help bring a bit more out of these uke's.
