When I first started building Bob Gleason commented : "We'll see how these stand up over time...." As someone who had a guitar returned to him under a lifetime warranty 20 years after he built it, he understands what is required to get things right!
Well, after cleaning up the workshop and having the weekly burning of shavings and slivers of wood not capable of being anything else but kindling I started to clean up my inbox and lo and behold came across this:

Hello,
Attached are a couple of photos of a uke that you may have built. Inside says "Island Koa" handbuilt in the UK. It's a 6 string tenor. This uke was past down to my girlfriend from her late father. It is a beautiful instrument and sounds fabulous. It's also the instrument that got me hooked on ukes!! If you built this and have any info on it, that would be awesome. I would like to able to tell her about this treasued uke of hers.
Thanks for your time
Dennis
