for those of you that might have remembered, i was making my own uke shirt as i waited for the next round of ordering for UU shirts. I had a design of a uke on it and still had to add wings...... and since school is done, i've been able to finish it! check it out!

For those of you that are curious, i used acetate (much like a transparency) to make my stencil and used acrylic mixed with textile medium so it doesn't crack.

You gotta make more than one though, because that one will need to be taken off and washed eventually. ;)

Well....as everybody knows...One Ukulele is not enough right??
And one t-shirt, and one hoodie is not enough!!!
Don't you think??? I really really want one!!!

you could just give the design to UU and have them print them up. if you dont feel like taking a cut of the sales.

nobody knows till you try

you know, i just thought of that too! i gotta make adjustments to the design so that mine is unique ;) haha. that and because it's not as visible as i wanted it when i wear it.

oh no, the design is permanent. it's painted on and the textile medium allows it to be washed and prevents it from cracking. so one should be enough... for me anyway :D

I think that Plainsong meant that you cannot wear it all the time, cause you'll have to take it of to wash it :D

I'd also vote this in! It'd be a great experience for many of those who are skilled in photo editing and such. Great idea bassukuguy.

I bought a shirt from these guys (http://www.ukuleleshirtworld.com) a few months back. It was the one with the fist like the old Chinese poster and it looks awesome.

I went back today to have a look and they now allow you to put your name on the back like a sports shirt. Wish I had of waited now. Oh well looks like I'll have to buy another one. Maybe I have USAS (ukulele shirt acquisition syndrome:p)

Awesome design. Negative space for the win. The UU staff should seriously consider it as a second T-shirt design, perhaps integrate the standard logo somehow? Worth considering.

haha, i actually submitted a similar design to this one. but i changed the uke that i used and i also remade the wings. since i originally made the design, i saw no problem using it haha.

as for selling them, i would if i had a screens to use. one day, i'd like to make a little screenprint shop in my back yard with a tool shed just for my designs.

My only request is that you use a good quality shirt....I hate cheap thin shirts. Also, offer a scoop neck or v-neck....you'll sell more.

haha, that'll be a looooong time from now. maybe if enough people want it, the UU staff might be able to print the designs themselves.
