Now i've started making a couple of Tenor ukes.. I need a Go-Bar deck to use with my noo Radius dishes...But I didn't like the idea of more jigs taking up space in the workshop.
Then I realised! I already had one (most of us have one) ..I split a couple of garden canes up into quarters and "Bobs yer Uncle"

Great idea. What are garden canes and what are they normally used for when not better used as luthier tools?

It's Bamboo..In the UK we call it Cane for some reason...I use these to build a sort of a Wigwam scaffold in my garden for growing for my Runner Beans...

Thanks for you idea.

Used to be used as a 'switch' here in the UK as I strongly recall from my school days...
Never did me any harm...If a day went by and i didn't get "caned" for doing something or another..I used wonder what i'd done wrong???..The best one was "Mr Page" the Woodwork teacher"..he used a "leather razor strop" on us...that hurt!!!
