Wow, do I feel stupid! I'm not going to be able to get the beautiful KoAloha tenor that I thought I was getting and that I wrote about in the "Another Free Tuner From MGM.
I'm used to Mike putting up pictures of the actual uke that for sale, but not this time. Way down the page amongst all those words is the statement that a stock KoAloha will be sent. The one with the white wood had been previously sold and being "busier than a one armed paper-hanger", he didn't get new pictures posted. That's the bad news.
The good news is he's going over to KoAloha this afternoon to pick up more ukes and will send me pictures of the tenors he brings back. He'll even try to find one with some white wood. I'll have the option of picking one out from the pictures or getting a refund. I think I'll find something I can live with.
The reason I was excited about the white in the wood is that I have a 2000 Oval sound hole soprano KoAloha that has some white wood in the one piece top. It'll be on the right end of my wall of KoAlohas and the new tenor will hold down the left end. All in all, I'll have two standard (soprano) scale, two concert scale and two tenor scale KoAlohas so this last one is very special to me. I will let you know how it goes. Take care,
Jude
