The lead singer of Sigur Ros, Jonsi, played a live session on UK's BBC 6Music station today in which he performed a stripped back version of new single 'Go Do' on a baritone ukulele.

It's very special indeed, so if you like this style of music do check it out. From tomorrow you can go to the BBC 6Music site and 'Listen Again' to the Lauren Laverne show. the session is about 1hr 40 into the show I think.

Of course if anyone fancies tabbing this for GCEA... :)

It's great, check it out.

There are some pictures of this session up now (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radioassets/photos/2010/3/22/77995_2.jpg). I think he played a Kala Mahogany Baritone but I'm far from sure. he did say it was broken and needed fixing.

I watched the set he did for the Bethnal Green Sessions, but I didn't pay attention to the type of uke he was using (I assumed it was a custom or an antique or something and got distracted by all the feathers and shiny, shiny sparkles). So neat that it's a Kala! Thanks for the image share!
