Hi, I speak French and love French songs, I wonder if anyone know any source for French songs? I have been googling for a few days, can't seem to have any success yet...Any French uke player? Help me!

Have a look at this one, La vie en Rose covered by claireGDcosta

I will be watching this thread for more French inspiration as well!

That's another problem, I found a few songs here and there, but they are all very old...not that they are not great, but there are many good newer songs as well. I love Miossec, Noir Desir, Les thugs, just to name a few on top of my mind...but can't seem to find anything.

Another thing is, French people love English songs! Some of their good bands sing in English and some uke player seems to collect their tabs in English as well, that adds to the difficulty...

Try the music of Victoria Vox. She speaks French, and does some of her recordings in French. She's a great uke player, and her songs are new....mostly originals, I think. The other great thing is that a songbook of her first two albums is available on her website....

Thanks! She is brillant. One of her songs is from Noir Desir! Thanks for pointing me to the good direction, cheers.

I recently bought a cd set of French Tango music for accordion from Sheet Music Plus, give them a try.

Accordion is the true French instrument to me, and you can figure out chords from those sheets.

Cool! Which book did you get? I have several accordion books myself. :)

you'll find here ...

Hi,
You will find many french tabs here :
http://www.abc-tabs.com/
First, you'll have to be a member (that's free) to see or print the tabs.

On www.ukulele.fr, if you don't find the chords for a song you can ask under "recherche" section and we'll try (the french ukulelist comunity ^^) to help you with pleasure and smile ! ;)

A bientôt;
David from France.
