Hey all,
Check out my latest ebay purchase, it looked scuffed up to hell and potentinally unsound but I couldn't resist.
Here it is a Banjo Ukulele. A Roy Smeck "junior" model made by John Grey and Sons.
It's not the size of a normal Banjo Uku, it's actually the size of a soprano ukulele; which seems somewhat unique.
I'm not entirely sure of it's age, but the pegs are bakelite which I guess puts it in 30's/40's?
It does need some work doing to it (posted in luthiers lounge please post if you have any ideas) but I can't wait to get it sorted.

One thing that gets me about this though is this picture [http://twitpic.com/1avs6q] this says Roy Smeck. Does it look like it could be Roy Smecks signature? The other writing seems to be written on by the previous owner (Ebay sellers Grand-dad, no idea why he sold to be honest). If so then talk about win!
