Sorry I've been asking so many questions, but you guys are handful of help. :)

I've once again narrowed down my choices to the following:

Kala Acacia Tenor

Koa Pili Koko Tenor

Kala Cedar top w/ koa back and sides

Mele koa top w/ mahogany back and sides.

Thanks for any input!

If I was you and money wasn't an object, I'd go for the Mele. You've got a pretty wide range there though. The Acacia Tenor and Mele are all solid ukes, and so is the KPK, but maybe a half a step down. I'm almost positive the Kala cedar top has laminate back and sides. Check out the buying tips threads for lots of similar discussions.

Mele koa top. Blows those other choices out of the water. I've played all these choices and the Mele is better imo. Not sure if I told you to or not but if you go to my YT page, I got a sound sample of a koa top Mele that super secret beta now has. I regret letting it go (sold it to fund an 8 string).

My personal choices would be in the reverse order you have them listed. I do own a KPK tenor, and that arguably gives you the best bang for the buck...and sounds wonderful! The cedar top Kala is really nice and there is a reason that MGM chose that as his favorite Kala! I have to agree that if money doesn't matter that much...then the Mele is your best bet.
