stingheight and false chords

ik got my nice home-glue-build-uke but i got problems with the chords like an D chord when i play a chord with it it seems to get out of tune. so i was wondering why this happend and so i found out that when i play an chord like an D the strings get an higher tention and get out of tune. dan i change my stringheight to the optimal stringheight? and what is that hight?

It sounds like your nut is too high, or the nut slots are not deep enough. You are describing the exact symptoms. Research the topic of string height setup and nut adjustment, and that should guide you to the right solution. Veel succes!
