Ukulele design

This has probably been covered before on the forum, but, hey, I'm new to uke building. Has anyone designed their own pineapple tenor? I'm thinking body volume, soundhole diam etc, rib height, front thickness and even shape variation.
I have the scale length/fret spacing template download - what is the ideal scale length for a tenor?
I appreciate this probably needs a whole book to answer, but any suggestions would be great.

Tenors are generally about 17" scale length. I've never done a tenor pineapple, but if and when I do I'll just evenly scale up a soprano (except the fretboard width will remain the same).

Thanks, Dave - I'll probably finish up with the Hana Lima pineapple plans (though it would be more satisfying to design my own) - except that the shipping to UK is a bit steep - $19 on a set of $12 plans.....
