Wanna restore an old friend...

here is an old 1930s Banjo Ukulele. I am in the process of restoring this old thang. I repalced the old worn out friction tuners with geared tuners already. Have a new ebony and bone bridge on the way, along with a bone nut. I think I might replace the head skin. It is original and real calf hyde. I think I am going to replace it with real calf hyde again, or might go synthetic, not sure. I am a member of PETA (People for Eating Tasty Animals), so I don't have to worry about the animal skin no animal skin conteversay. I think I like the idea of going back with the calf hyde as original. The real issue I have is a small part of the lamination has popped up. The laminate is not broken or cracked, only popped up a little. Anyone know how I should go about repairing that? Wood glue and a clamp? Epoxy? Steam? How do I shrink the laminate so it will not pop up again?

Any advice, words of wisdom?

LOL tudorp. Perhaps the mods should move this thread to the Uke builder/ Luthier lounge section of the forum. You probably would have better luck getting your questions answered.
