Oscar Schmidt OU-6 Koa Tenor Ukulele

For the money, I wouldn't recommend an Oscar Schmidt, at least not a laminated one like the one you linked to.

For a little more money, you can get an all solid wood Ohana tenor:

Or one of these Kalas with a solid spruce top for about the same money or less:

I have not personally tried any Ohana ukes, but the spruce topped Kalas I've actually played are not bad at all.

Don't know about the tenor, but a friend bought an O.S. soprano and likes it. Just remember, you generally get what you pay for in this world and a $200 koa import uke is likely a laminate. But if this is your price range then you have to work within that.

There is a review of an O.S. soprano in the UU uke reviews fyi.

some people i know like the oscar schmidt ukes but when i purchased one, the concert version, it was fairly defective with buzzing at numerous frets and the intonation wasn't that good. when i sent it back, i got a replacement uke that had the same problems but on different frets. i think theres just a big discrepancy between the quality of each of those ukes, IMO. i feel like you'd never know what to expect until you actually hold it and see it for yourself.
