Wow - I thought it would be a lot easier to learn the uke since I have been a git player for so long. Less strings was supposed to be easier. What a great instrument!

Smaller seems to be more fun in this case. It really is a fascinating instrument.

If you're into singing and accompanying yourself, well, there's not much that can compete with
your handy, portable ukulele.

It brings a smile to your own heart and fascinates onlookers to no end. Children are drawm
to it. They seem to realize immediately that it's 'their size'.

If you haven't tried one yet, I'd recommend trying a Kala Travel Uke. I have a soprano and
take it with me everywhere. It's the music stand and songbooks that take up the most space
in my shoulder bag. People are always so surprised by the volume of sound the little uke
produces.

Keep uke-in',

I just got mine on friday and I have no musical background and I am loving it :D

Someone gave me a weird look when I told them I was going to get into uke playing, they kinda gave me a "Really? That's not an instrument" look.

I brought it in today and he thought it was AWESOME :D
