hi everyone,

been searching for an answer here but still a newbie at the whole forum thing, so i apologize if the answer to my question can be found elsewhere.

i've been playing for just under a month, and i'm starting to feel comfortable with chords now, but i would really like to get started on learning some finger picking. can anyone recommend some good songs or exercises to help me with basic finger picking techniques?

thanks in advance!

Ha! Perfect! I was just about to post a question about this very thing. I'll comment briefly 'cos it sounds like where on the same level of ukeness (well, I've been goofing around with thing longer, but I'm, uh, mostly unmusical).

I have noticed a dramatic improvement with this exercise from Ukulele Bartt's site:

http://bartt.net/ExercisesFastFingers.jpg

This seems to effectively work both the fretting and the strumming hand. (Maybe you already know this?)

OK. Now I'm gonna post a question about banjo rolls.
