Pick Up

lol more specific please?

How cheap were you after?
And what kind of pickup are you interested in?
The main ones being Passive (non-powered) or Active (powered by a battery or other source, has a built-in preamp, and may have tone/volume control).

Active pickups generally give you a better output from the uke itself. But it requires a more major surgery to install into the uke, needs power (such as battery, or recharging) and generally costs more than passives.

Passive pickups generally need some kind of external preamp to boost the signal, and don't give as clean and strong an output from the uke itself. But it is simpler to install, less modification (and added weight) on the uke and generally costs less.

A little warning about cheap pickups though.
You will be making a permanent change to your uke. Are you sure you want to be stuck with a cheap pickup?
A cheap pickup will sound cheap.

A passive one

less than 20 quid to plug in to amp and that will stick easy to uke

so you're looking for a pickup that just sticks to the outer surface?
(so you don't have to make any modifications to the uke).
