Hi there, I'm new here and new to ukulele. I want my first ukulele to be nice but not super-pricey (nor cheap). I recently found this Pono Concert uke:

I've heard that pono's are good and reliable. I'm assuming it will go for higher than it's priced right now, but what's the max I should pay for this?
Can you recommend any other beginner ukes?

Thanks!

Maybe a Kala from MGM. Then you'll know that your uke is set up correctly to play without problems.

The best price is not always the best deal. Read some reviews for ukes and sellers on this site for more info.
Good Luck!

Or you might consider this one-

That's one of mine that I'm selling on ebay. It would make an excellent entry level ukulele.
If you want to spend more money, for a beginner I would also recomment a Flea or Fluke with rosewood fingerboard and peghead tuners from MGM (musicguymic). You can see his selection of Flea and Fluke ukes here-

Search for ohai or monkeypod Pono. I'd say the reviews were pretty mixed on this model.
