Well...the banjolele was the portrayed instrument but my ears heard the ukulele being played by the union musicians.

Tonight I went to see The Addams Family with Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwrth.
Actually, they were in it. I didn't go with them. :p

There were a few scenes and numbers where Uncle Fester (played by Kevin Chamberlain) came out and sported a banjolele. It looked like a Goldtone to me.
The numbers were brilliant as was Fester."

The play was magnificent and it was nice to see the ukulele/banjolele getting some good publicity.
if it's good enough for Broadway, it's good enuogh for the rest of the world!

The ukulele/banjolele is now a Broadway performer!!
Congrats to the uke family for being immortalized in the annals of Addams Family history!

Awesome! Now I want some audience member to surreptitiously make a brief video... ;)

That's cool! I'm a huge musical theatre geek in addition to digging the ukulele - I hope I get a chance to make it back to NY soon to try and check out this show!

My friend's son is playing Lurch in the show. When his father went to see the show he took a picture of the gear they used. You were right, it was a ukulele. Look's like uke's are everywhere!
