I live in the UK and while there are a few music stores near me, I'm not sure if I really trust the ukuleles they carry. I bought my current one (a yellow Mahalo) from a store near where I live. It's decent and has reasonable sound quality, though there's a slight buzzing whenever the C string is played loudly.

I'm looking to buy an electric uke now for use with headphones/amps, but again I'm not sure about what the stores near me are carrying. Any reccomendations? I'm looking to spend no more than around £130 max on it (1 british pound = around 1.5 dollars at the moment). Right now I'm kind of liking the look of some of the 100 series Eleukes.

EDIT: Ahhhh, sorry, this should really be under "buying tips". My bad.

There are Kalas you can get for around that mark. I have a student with a Kala spruce soprano which has got a lovely bright tone. I think he paid £140, with a hard case. It's also easy on the eyes. Really interesting grain and some nice finishing.
