As is, you use it as a bar hook, when you get a little tipsy and need two hands to keep the beer glass goin' towards your mouth and not your neighbors ear - well then you just hang the uke on the edge of the bar and you're all set.
Or you use it as a little whammy thumb bar. You need a loop that goes around the strings (beyond the nut) and tightens up when you move the whammy bar with your thumb. Then you grip a chord with your fingers and start bending it up like a pro.
Yep, I've built a lot of 5 string ukes with a double octave C.
With Ken's uke, a better solution would've probably been to add the additional tuner at the apex of the peg head.
