On the Uke Chat forum, there's a mention of an Antiques Roadshow with a 1905 Dias ukulele shown. $15,000.

The episode is here: http://video.pbs.org/video/1487963054 The ukulele shows up at 11:35.

It only has two strings installed and they don't play it at all, but it's really interesting to see the size and shape. Very small, very thin.

...and very cool. Thanks for sharing, Harold.

I saw that uke, and the appraiser was from Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto, CA....a place I visit from time to time.

It was cool to see it, very small with a big sound hole! Looks like it has been sitting for a very, very long time. I have decided the current owner should give it to me because it needs to be with other ukulele's because it must be very lonely after all this time!

There is a huge buzz surrounding these and the repros produced by makers like deSilva and Means. frankly, I think they are more in the 'guitar' camp rather than the uke camp...
