View Full Version : Info on old Spanish & Italian Ukes please ?

Hi Folks

Apologies if this thread should be in another sub board, redirect me if so !

As part of the obsession I've got a couple of old ukes on the way from an auction ( probably warped to heck but who knows ).

Any info on these ?

a) Dulcet by Jose Alvarez, Barcelona
b) Silvestri Barera Venezia

Be honest and rude if you like ( are they the equivalent of a straw donkey holiday gift ? ). They looked well played in the auction pix so my logic is they must have sounded acceptable one day in the past to someone lol..

Will post photos in the review section when they arrive so you can have a laugh..

Unclebob, another option would be to also direct your questions to the Vintage Ukulele Q & A (http://www.ukulele.org/?Vintage_Ukulele_Q_%26amp%3B_A) located in the UHFM.
