This baby made her way from Hawaii to my humble abode here in Sydney in 2 days! Amazing!
Plays as nice as she sounds. Amazing Uke, even more so in the flesh.

Gee, that's pretty. MGM is the best. Go for it with your new uke. It can take it. It wants to take it. It want's to be played.

Thanks dude! I will endeavour to find time to upload some more piccies and perhaps a yt vid in the busyness of my life this week! I've named her Kailani, which i thought was a cool name, but then i realised it was Lanikai backwards =(

Thanks all! Shes a sweet instrument to play and a pleasure to look at.

Havent tried! If Pro Artes are good enough for UU and Jake Shimabukuro, i NEED to try them! Heard mixed reviews, though!

Thanks! Unfortunately i've only owned one Uke before this so my wood and tone discernment isn't the best! However, my last tenor was a Mahogany. The Mango is A LOT rounder and thicker sounding in tone, comparatively. The Mahogany sounds thinner and sharper, though that might be cos of different brand and slight different shaped instruments...

Happy, though it came to me with faulty electronics. MGM has said hes sent me replacement parts though nothing has come yet. Seems trustworthy enough, though?

funnily enough mine had faulty electronics too...... took 2 trips back the shearers (local music store in hamilton nz with lots of kalas) to get it fixed, first replaced the pickup then the electronics. sweet as now good back up service too, as i couldn't find the reciept. i like the pro artes as the aquilias sounded to generic on my uke will put some photos up tonight if i remember as my pattern is quite different to yours.

I'm still wanting a mango uke, but I'm currently eye-balling a Lanikai zebrawood tenor.

I think I might be preaching to the choir, but it's worth repeating: MGM is the BOMB when it comes to sales and service! I've purchased a couple of my Flukes and Fleas from him along with strings and tuners. Beautiful wood grain on the uke! Congrats!
