Jake - 2 Hokus

At the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, Jake Shimabukuro won 2 Hokus for Instrumental Album of the Year as well as Entertainer of the Year. Congrats to Jake! That's OK Brad - we know the significance of the Na Hoku Hanohano awards. IMO, I think it's more of a local thing than anything else. Nice find on the vids, Much Mahalos Brad!

most of the koaloha crew went, because pops was nominated for best jazz album and most promising new artist. unfortunately, he lost both, but it was still cool to go an experience it.

although i will say they need some production help baaaadly. the big screen was showing this "windows screensaver" kinda thing for almost half the time, and the other half was divided between being stuck on the wrong people performing, or being backstage looking around for the winner. when jake was doing his solo, youd think theyd zoom in on him, but instead they were all over the place on the other performers... not so great. other than that a great night
