I wrote the music and lyrics to this, May 2010, in addition to, of course, performing it. Let me know what you think. Kind of just in time for commencements (long time since my own).

Playing it on my Boulder Creek spruce top tenor.

I do know, by the way, that I missed the chord at :30 seconds.

Many of us actually do have Southern accents, but generally I don't. I have always sung like that, even the little bit of twang - and, unfortunately, the flatness. In general, Michigan is nasal more than anything else. Mike

However I think you should take down the sign behind you that says Happy New Year.

Thanks for your kind words. I played it live tonight at a local Borders and it went well. As for taking down that sign, well...it's so happy! But you are right. Thanks again, Mike
