Question for all of you shimabukuro buffs out there.

What kind of Strings does oll Jake play with on his performance ukulele?

I'm sure that his amazingly mellow tones are due several things, such as his super skill, quality ukulele, amplification settings ect..

However I would like to know if his particular set of strings are Ideal for mellow sounding uke playing.

P.S
Jake's power level is over 9000.

i know he used to use d'addario classical guitar strings (EJ46), not sure if he still uses them. i guess after using the classical guitar strings, they decided to make a set for the ukulele since jake used them. those are the same strings that d'addario has produced under the J71 name for the ukulele. sorry if that's confusing.

here's an article about it. basically saying the J71 strings are a mix-and-match of the EJ44 and EJ46 classical guitar strings (which are usable on ukes)
