Pete...this 3 minutes and 34 second video has saved me hours of angst. Just wish I had seen this before my first build. I also appreciate that you mentioned that you use no neck angle. The question of whether or not the neck meets the body at an angle has puzzled me for some time.

I don't want a thick, fat bridge killing the energy in that part of the instrument. My bridges are 7.5mm thick and are relieved for most of their mass. The other manufacturing point with neck angle is you have to fiddle about with the end of the fingerboard, have a ramp or some other doobry that I cannot get my head around. Like my mate says about how myths and practices arise: "Tapering soundboards? That only occured because of over enthusiasm when they scraped back the bindings. Now its 'wisdom'. "

i am healthy again.
this year i am at 300 pieces and 27 custom orders.
i am now approaching super hyper dynamic overdrive.
those who can do.... those who can't import.
i have many "shop aprons"
