UKE FEST 2010!!! Sweet! I went on line and saw some of the workshops and the concert and what not. I didn't realize that there was going to be a song circle too. What time does that start? Will you be using the SUPA song book or just whatever song you bring?

The 'wrap-up song circle' will begin at 3p on Sun the 27th and we will be using the SUPA
songbooks (2005-07 and the newer 2010).

We will have the newer 2010 songbook for sale at the song circle.

All song books (Fall 2004***, Fall 2005, Winter 2007, Combined 2005-2007) are available at the Ave Copy Center
(4141 University, Seattle, 206-633-1837, mail@avecopy.com) Please contact them, directly, for copying charges
(loose, comb bound, 3-hole punched, single/double sided, etc.). The Ave Copy Center will also mail copies to you
for an additional charge.

***NOTE: we no longer advise getting the 2004 songbook since we have updated, transposed and trimmed
the song book to create the newer 2010 song book.

This PDF (All_SUPA_SongBooks.pdf - 68K) contains a listing of all songs in all of the books. Many of the songs
in the 2004 song book have been updated and transposed and put into the more standard 'SUPA' format in the
newer 2010 song book.

See you there.

Keep uke'in',

OK, just a heads up about the wrap up.

All told, the Uke Fest seems to have been a great success.

Kimo Hussey couldn't be there due to family emergency, so Craig Chee from Eugene, OR drove up and filled in.

Ralph Shaw and James Hill taught popular workshops and the showing of "The Mighty Uke" was very well received.

4 ukuleles were raffled off during the Saturday Night Concert: 2 Ponos, a Kala and a Kiwaya!

The wrapup song circle drew about 50+ participants including Craig Chee and Matt Dahlberg who did their ukulele

stylings during our playing of Yellow Bird.

All in all, a great time was had by all. Many different makes and models of ukulele, some homemade, some vintage,

and many fleas and flukes among the Kamakas, Collings', Kalas and Lanikais.

Much Aloha and Mahalos to those who made the 2010 Uke Fest in Seattle a big success!

Keep uke'in' everyone,
