Hey guys I've been using a tuner on my computer hooked to a microphone (which works extremely well). I don't have too much of an ear for notes unfortunately, so how do you guys suggest to tune at least one string on the ukulele? (I know you can tune the rest of the strings when one is tuned)

if you have a wound string, tune that one first. the wound strings tend to hold their tune much better than the plain nylon strings. then tune off of that.

if your wound string is your C string, then the 4th fret on the C string should match the open E string. the 5th fret on the E string should match the open A string. and the 2nd fret on the G string should match the open A string. so if you use your C string as your basis, you can tune each other string accordingly.

on a low G tuning, everything is the same except for the G and A string comparisons. the 5th fret on the G string should match the open C string.
