I'm in headless chicken mode at present trying to complete work and get 10 kits ready for a workshop I am doing 2500 miles away!
Today I put some koa in my Fox bender and did the business. An hour later I am ready to put it in the mold and as I am prepping, I am watching the stuff gently unbend itself. I already had my iron on so I quickly set the curves and rebent the sides. Curious I thought so later in the day I took another set from the same batch and hand bent a soprano set of sides
Now most of you will know that apart from hand bending a cutaway in a concert this is the supreme test of a luthier's skills. Whadya know - it bent like it was a sheet of vinyl, even and easy! How wonderful and surprising this stuff is. I can't think of a better life than the constant surprising my craft beings me...
