so i just got my kala cedar

its really nice, however there seems to be a buzzing/whirr now when i strum, and also when i pluck an open E or A. its very annoying, and leaves the sound distorted.

could this be caused by the strings themselves? or maybe the pickup?

any suggestions/fixes!

it could be one of the wires from the pickup. if one of the wires is loosely resting on one of the inner walls, the vibrations from the strings could cause that buzzing.

its really hard to do with such a small hole, but if you could take a thin strip of duct tape and tape the cords to one of the inner walls, that might alleviate the problem. but try to stay away from the top (the one with the sound hole). putting duct tape and attaching whatever to it may cause some dampening and affect the tone.

dude! i just used my finger and pushed all the wires into the side and the noise! she is gone!

cheers man
