So check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ti5f-LHp4 at the start of the song he does a walkup and at different parts he does walk downs as well. How can I achieve the same thing on uke? Is it simply different variations of a given chord moving up the neck? http://www.holovaty.com/stuff/mario2_chords.txt Here are the guitar chords, he lists the walkup as a "walkup" I would like to figure it out to add a little dimension so some of my backup strumming. Thanks guys!!!

He changes the fingering a bit. I think you just need to start working with barre chords Try a Bb and slide it up and down.

Barre chords are simpler than they look. Play an A7 with your middle finger. Slide it up two frets and bar the fret below it with your index finger. You've got a B7. With barre chords you play all the same fingerings you already know. You're just using your index finger as a moveable nut.

Don't fear or avoid barre chords...love them.
