Am7 is the chord when all teh strings are open. It's one of the legendary chords that no one dares to play
 
It's also a C6.

Really? One of the secrets of the uke community I had yet to learn, I guess- still being a newbie & all. I use that chord in 3 of the songs I've written. Does that mean I'm a rebel? lol
 
I use that chord for Gatekeeper by Feist.
Actually, the song starts out on that chord!

haha I've actually used it in one song i've played..
but i changed it to an Am

it sounds better and i'm not a rebel haha :)
 
The song "Know That" by Next Generation (... "Did you know that girl...")

Just that open chord (Am7), then bar fret two (Bm7) ... for pretty much the whole song, I think.
