My Flea has Gods

I just discovered this blog post by David Newland of the Corktown Ukulele Jam. It is quite brilliant and articulates many of my thoughts about ukulele far better than I ever could.

Very well stated blog...but I disagree on the lack of sexuality. The ukulele can be a lover...example:

I see a guitarist play twinkle twinkle little star and feel nothing.
I see Jake play (anything) and I am moved.

The uke is the best kind of lover...one that makes you smile while it takes your breath away.

That's great, and it's true to my experience as well.

I agree with him that a uke is like a kid. Sometimes you even have to whoop it.
