UK: Action to seek repeal of restrictive live music regulations

As many will be aware, the 2003 licensing act introduced stupid restrictions on the performance of live music in the UK. There are currently calls for these restrictions to be repealed.

I just hope your lawmakers there are big enough to admit of their shortcomings..

I hope this is not a double post as my reply "disappeared!"

Tell me what is happening in Oz please "Kissing". I have been fighting with APRA (and co) for years; mostly about Royalties being required for amateur video makers using music for club showing only. I was quoted $300 for a 45 second grab in a 3 minute film that was only to be shown to club members!.

My MP said it was the "law" yes which they made!

Grrrr.
