I'm not sure if I had all the chords right or even if I sang it correctly, but I love this song and wanted to give it a try

Hope I didn't hack it too badly...

Just added the chords that I use in the YouTube sidebar. The chords are kind of simplified, and that middle part is kind of trippy. You might want to fool around with alternate chords. Let me know if you discover better chording for the song.

You've selected some great songs and this one is no exception. If you ever get a chance, you should cover "Lately", another SW song. Thanks for the lyrics and simplifed chords, much easier than what I've found. Now, if I can get the melody down . . .

WOW. I'm definitely gonna learn that one. That's one of my favorite songs. Great Job. Expect a video response from me bro

Nice. I especially like the rhythm pattern soundling like a snare drum. How did you do that?

Hi jjsdad! To be honest, I don't know what I'm doing with that strum. On a song like "Overjoyed," I have to concentrate on the chording and the singing, so I just let the right hand do whatever. I like the combination of picking the lower-note strings with my thumb, mixed with strumming with the index finger, and throwing in a few chuks when it feels right.

Ditto to everyone above. You did a great job with the playing and the singing! Thanks for sharing :)

I loved the cover of Overjoyed. Would you be able to share those YouTube notes from the video with me? I'd love to play this for my mother (it's her favorite song). Could I ask for those chords? :)

Thank you!

Hi, K!. Here are the chords that I use, but it might be possible to improve them:

Over [F] time
I’ve been [Dm7] building my castle of [Gm7] love [C7]
Just for [F] two… though you [Dm] never knew
you were my [G] rea- [A]son
I’ve [D] gone much too far for [A] you now to say
That [Am7] I’ve got to [G] throw my [C] castle away
Over [F] dreams, I have [Dm7] picked out
a perfect come [Gm7] true [C7]
Though you [F] never knew [Dm] it
was of you I’ve been [G] dream-[A]ing
The [D] sandman has come from [A] too far away
For [Am7] you to say [G7] come back [C] some other day
And though you don’t be[Bbmaj7] lieve that they [Gm7] do
[F] they do come true
[Gm7] For did my [C7] dreams come true
when [Eb6] I looked at [D7] you
And maybe too if [Cmaj7] you would be[Am7]lieve
[G] You too might be over[Gm]joyed
Over [C7sus] love, o-ver [C7] me

Over [F] hearts, I have [Dm7] painfully
turned every [Gm7] stone [C7]
Just to [F] find… I had [Dm] found
what I’ve searched to dis[G]cov-[A]er
I’ve [D] come much too far for [A] me now to find
The [Am7] love that I [G] sought can [C] never be mine
And though the odds say [Bbmaj7] improba[Gm7]ble
[F] what do they know
[Gm7] For in ro[C7]mance
All true love [Eb6] needs is a [D7] chance
And maybe with a [Cmaj7] chance you will [Am7] find
[G] you too like I, over[Am]joyed
Over [D7sus] love [D7] over [G] you
[Ab] ooh [C7sus C7] over [F] you

I tried to look for your video and I got a notice saying it got terminated. What the hell gives with YouTube? You do such good work and ,for some reason, this happens. I want to see this one.
