I'm not sure if I had all the chords right or even if I sang it correctly, but I love this song and wanted to give it a try

Just added the chords that I use in the YouTube sidebar. The chords are kind of simplified, and that middle part is kind of trippy. You might want to fool around with alternate chords. Let me know if you discover better chording for the song.
 
You've selected some great songs and this one is no exception. If you ever get a chance, you should cover "Lately", another SW song. Thanks for the lyrics and simplifed chords, much easier than what I've found. Now, if I can get the melody down . . .

Hi jjsdad! To be honest, I don't know what I'm doing with that strum. On a song like "Overjoyed," I have to concentrate on the chording and the singing, so I just let the right hand do whatever. I like the combination of picking the lower-note strings with my thumb, mixed with strumming with the index finger, and throwing in a few chuks when it feels right.
