I have six videos, three songs, recorded with the "FLIP" camcorder... then recorded again with the new ZOOM Q3 "handy video recorder" featuring "studio quality audio" (according to Zoom's product website).

This will give you some idea about the sound comparison.

The guitars are Parkwood PW320M and the Martin DX1 (similar price-point --another comparison).

I will be doing some ukulele videos at some point.

I wrote the songs...

Hmm...I don't know that I'd jump all the way to saying that the Q3 blows the Flip away. The video is definitely better on the flip by far. The sound is more trebly on the flip over the Q3, and deeper on Q3. Now, if one could take the audio of the Q3 and the video of the flip, that would be a perfect combination, IMO. I think the Flip picks up the sound at a higher volume than the Q3.

I like the sound of the Martin a little better over the Parker. The Parker seems to be a little compressed at this point, and the Martin a little more open. Perhaps the Parker needs to be played in a little more to open up the sound.
