Looking for some dark mahogany or ???

Does anyone know where we could get an extra dark piece of mahogany or ??? other wood for the top of a concert uke? As close to black as possible...

Well, yes, I have suggested staining, ebonizing, painting, applying black shoe polish... no joy. In the last resort I think staining would be the way to go, but we would be happier if we could find a dark(ish) piece of topwood.
