Heard only good things, but never heard from actual owners.
Anyone got one out there?
How is the sound and the neck?

The Compass Rose fingerboard doesn't sit directly on the body of the uke, thus allowing it to resonate more freely.Pardon my lack of knowledge, but what is a "floating fingerboard" and how is it different from a conventional fingerboard? Thanks!
I had a mahogany one a few years ago and really liked it a lot, it sounded great. I have noticed though that their prices have almost doubled since I purchased mine, they are over 1K now.
As much as I liked it, it had a very guitar like sound.

No that's not a bad thing but if I want that I can reach for a guitar and get more notes. Rick has a great story especially if you like the Dead or any other group that has an Almebic background, he was one of the founders of that company. Great uke, kinda wish I never got rid of it. One thing I always worried about was the fingerboard, it seemed to dip over time where the tip was almost toUching the sound board.
