howdy all,
spreading the uke love here in Australia.
Just thought you might like to know that ukes are taking over Tasmania (that is the smallest state in Oz). I was in a local record shop last week talking to the owner, who informed me that ukuleles are now officially the fastest selling string instrument in our humble state. School music teachers have thrown away their recorders and now have their kids going uke crazy. This should have happenned 30 years ago when I was in primary school, but, better late than never!!! Nothing against the ol' recorder, but seriously, it's pretty hard to sing when you're blowing into one, and, who do you know who has ever been inspired to write a song on one?!
