Hey guys, I've got a friend who is looking to buy his first ukulele. He has his eye on a Luna, I don't know which one other then he wants an electro-acoustic one. I was gonna direct him toward Kala or Lanikai perhaps but these Luna ukes seem to be getting some positive feedback. Any opinions on these relatively new ukes?

Any reviews/advice/opinions would be great! Cheers guys, now off tho point him towards the UU...

I have a Luna High-Tide concert. They're laminate instruments, but beautifully made.

They are set up better than Kala or Lanikai from the factory. The action is slick and low, much like it had a custom set up. Stock aquila strings.
And oh boy, they have some of the most smooth, comfortable necks I've ever used. The neck is on the narrow side.

The pickup works superbly, clean and bold, takes 9V battery with tone/volume controls (including treble, mid and bass).

The acoustic sound is a bit gentle though. The Lanikai and Kala laminates are probably louder as acoustic instruments.
