Vintage solid mahogany Baritone Uke. No name anywhere. Owner bought it in late Fortys. No cracks and a nick on top and a few minor scratches. It has strings But I am sure not correct to uke.
I am not a uke player and took this in trade .
I have never seen a vintage Baritone for sale before anywhere!

Where are you located? I'd only buy from a newb if it were local and I could do it in person.

Also, BTW, asking the buyer to cover paypal fees is against their terms of service.

This is most probably a Lyra, sold under the Bruno licence. I picked up an identical one from a woman in Toronto last month. I'd suggest it's younger than the late 40s, more like late 50s-late 60s. Was likely made in Japan and sold by a distributor. I have some notes on Lyra on my web site.

Mine has the same gap.
Sound: see my notes after I replaced the saddle (story on my blog (http://www.ianchadwick.com/forum/index.php?/blog/1/entry-874-glass-saddles-and-ukuleles-a-test/)). Loud and bright.
FYI, I paid $60 for mine. Was offered to me at $50 but felt it deserved the extra.
Very light instrument.
