I've been surfing around a favorite site of mine, and found a bunch of Tinpan Alley recordings from old 78's and wax cylinders. Here's a couple that I found from Archive.org (http://www.archive.org/) featuring the ukulele, from the 20's:

Give Me A Ukulele (http://www.archive.org/details/GiveMeAUkelele)
Show Me The Way To Go Home (http://www.archive.org/details/ShowMeTheWayToGoHome)
What A Life (http://www.archive.org/details/WhatALife)

The reason this is a favorite website of mine is collection of old movies in the "Moving Images" section.

Have Fun!

Great site! Thanks for posting that...
I once did a duet to "Show me the way", By Bill Boyd and his Cowboy Ramblers with Tom Waits...though he did not know it. Turns out we were the two people in "O' Brother Where Art Thou" who knew the words, and could not help but sing along.

On the internet archive you'll also find a huge collection of Jolson music from 78s and live concerts including Jake. Not always great quality sound in the live shows, but some of it is excellent. Lots of old time radio too.
