About 2 blocks from my house is a cigar shop so I stopped in an asked if he had any empty boxes it turns out that he has a big ol pile of them $2 for regular box and $3 for a all wooden box
so if anyone is looking for something special he just might have it
here is a black all wood box http://i921.photobucket.com/albums/ad54/Kempocat/50c9ffbb.jpg

Hm. My cigar shop sells all their boxes for 2 bucks. I got some nice ones...maybe someday I will make a uke out of one.

I took a crap shoot and went here- they sell 12 of them (all wood) for $20 and ship free. I will let you know what I get when they arrive (and probably post pictures of my first cigar box Uke)

I am thinking about custom carving a cigar box and offering it here for a very modest price to anyone that might like it.
Any suggestions on a design or theme?

I don't smoke, but I've also bought some cigar boxes from a nearby tobacco shop. They were only $1 each, and they had some nice ones. I bought them to do uke projects with, but never got around to it. One of them, I'm currently using to store picks and other small stuff in. Pretty good price for a felt-lined box with a clasp closure.

I wouldn't be suprised if most tobacco shops offered similar offers for cheap boxes.
