Bought a banjo -- want to play it like a Uke

Well, actually I traded and ended up with a tenor banjo for the "Island of Misfit Instruments."

Quick background: I recently bought from MGM a set of those extra special baritone stings which can be tuned soprano style. -- gCEA -- They sound awesome on the Kala baritone.

Suppose I get a set and put them on the banjo? The scale is just about the same. (I know that as it is, I can tune baritone style -- banjo players call it Chicago tuning -- and play like a baritone. That IS one option.

Ideas?
